How to use a hair mask correctly

A mask is not added automatically — it is added based on the current condition of the lengths. It works as a separate step between shampoo and balsam.

Why squeezing out water matters

Excess water on the lengths dilutes the mask and makes even distribution harder. A gentle towel-squeeze makes application much more comfortable and precise.

Where to apply and where not to apply

A mask works with the lengths and is not needed on the scalp. The comfortable zone is roughly from mid-lengths to the ends, with more attention to the driest or most damaged areas.

One mask per wash

Two different masks at once do not make care more effective — they overlap in function and increase the risk of weighing hair down. Choose one mask based on the primary need.

BioHydra or Lipid & Ceramide

BioHydra Therapy Complex suits scenarios where hydration is the leading need, without pronounced damage. Lipid & Ceramide Therapy is chosen for pronounced dryness, porosity, lightening, fragility or damage.

Approved frequency

BioHydra: 1–2 times within 7 days, according to need. Lipid & Ceramide: once every 7–10 days. Using a mask too often can create a sense of weight.

Step by step

  1. 01Wash the hair with the appropriate shampoo.
  2. 02Gently squeeze out excess water with a towel.
  3. 03Distribute one chosen mask from mid-lengths to the ends.
  4. 04Leave on for 5–10 minutes.
  5. 05Rinse thoroughly.

Common misconceptions

  • A mask replaces balsam.
  • Two masks together give better results.
  • The longer the mask stays on, the better.
  • A mask should be applied to the roots.
